Description:

Aimed at PHAs that have converted or plan to convert public housing units to RAD PBRA this seminar provides participants with an understanding of the vast regulatory guidance that has formed and shaped the program. This seminar focuses on the development of policies and procedures that will be needed to implement the program. Also included, Request for Proposal (RFPs) requirements, sample proposals, policy decisions that must be made, Annual Plan and Administrative Plan changes, and the nuts and bolts of dealing with eligibility, income, file structure and the calculations to be mastered through engaging participants in skill development and practice.

This program also includes the latest information on what converting PHAs will need to do in order to comply with the new program requirements, including changes in the Admin. Plan, dealing with wrong-sized units, grievance procedure changes, and earned income disallowance changes, among other important considerations. This seminar will equip participants with the necessary skills to reduce errors and avoid HUD findings in compliance reviews and audits, and the course concludes with the administration of a Certification Exam.
